With the White House, perched on the sixth floor of the building housing the Champs-Élysées theatre, 15 Avenue Montaigne had a table that has never shone in its kitchen. Benjamin Patou (Victoria 1836, L'Arc, Globo, Bus Palladium, etc.) has taken over the former Drouot-Montaigne auction room to set up a vast restaurant dedicated to parties and, above all, to Peruvian gastronomy. It was therefore almost natural to entrust Gastón Acurio, considered by some to be the best chef in South America, to create the menu. On the program, the best of its kind, sometimes revisited. And among the specialties of the house, we were able to appreciate the cebiche clasico of raw fish (€12), with sweet potato, corn choclo, cancha (fried corn) and tiger leche. To follow, try without hesitation one of the tasty anticuchos (chicken, beef, salmon or asparagus skewers, from €12 to €17). At dessert time, the cachanga (large crispy pancake garnished with seasonal fruit and lime sorbet) allows you to prolong the change of scenery for €14. A real invitation to travel, in perfect harmony with the sublime setting designed by the essential architect and decorator of the moment, Laura Gonzalez, who has created a universe that is both chic and ethnic with a lot of gilding, mosaics and “ inca blue”. As a bonus, on Friday and Saturday evenings, the cabaret area allows you to end the evening by sipping one of the house's signature cocktails, while enjoying the burlesque and offbeat show imagined by singer Garou, also associated with Manko. Tasting menu at €65.
