The Notaires de France have counted, as of November 31, 2021, over a sliding 12-month period, 1.12 million transactions in the old housing market, i.e. an increase of 17.5%. On the price side, inflation reached 7.4%, including +9% for houses. The main figures.

"In the provinces, the price increase is accentuated with +8.8% between Q3 2020 and Q3 2021. As has been the case since the beginning of 2021, the increase in house prices (+9.4% over the year in Q3) is stronger than that of apartments (+7.5%)," indicates the Notaires de France's business climate report.

In Paris, the price per square meter of old apartments is €10,790 in the 3rd quarter of 2021 (0% compared to the period July-September 2020). The Notaries indicate in Bayonne € 3,980 per sqm (+21.7%), in Limoges € 1,490 per sqm (+17%), in Poitiers € 2,140 per sqm (+15.6%), in Lille € 3,950 per sqm (+13.3%). Conversely, Mulhouse with (€ 1,110 per sqm, -15.2%) Martinique (€ 2,530, -12.5%) and Guadeloupe (€ 2,890, -4.2%) record a decline in Q3 2021.
